History

Superblinds and Draperies is a local family owned business that has been operating in Winnipeg, Manitoba for over 40 years. The current owner Bonnie Karr started in sales in 1996 and has worked her way up in the company from sales to manager to president to now owning Superblinds and Draperies. Many of the design and installation team have also worked together for 10 to 20 plus years. Superblinds and Draperies has always strived to be the custom window covering leader. Always bringing the latest in innovative trends and displaying them in their state of the art showroom.

The showroom has a unique fully operational Lutron lighting, motorized shade and motorized drapery systems so you can see how we can create the experience in your home. There is also a Hunter Douglas blind studio so you can see the full line of Hunter Douglas blind options and try all the operating options for yourself. Superblinds also specializes in custom drapery and bedding with 1000’s of fabrics in the fabric studio and many pleat styles on display.

In May of 2020, Superblinds and Draperies expanded the full design experience by adding furniture into the showroom with many new brands never offered before in Winnipeg. The showroom is always changing and everything is available for immediate in store purchase or for order. The design team is highly trained and experienced to create a wonderful experience for you in the showroom or at your home, and want to work with you on your current project and for many years to come.
