Answers to our most FAQs

1. Can I request a designer to come to my home? 

Yes! If you are in the market to enhance your living space but not able to visit our showroom in person we are happy to meet with you in your home. We offer a complimentary shop at home service, where one of our trusted professionals will measure your windows and advise you on available options, including colour and fabric suggestions, all within the comfort of your own home.

After an introductory phone call to get acquainted with you and your specific window covering needs our designer will arrange a suitable time and date to meet with you and get your project started!   

2. Can I visit your showroom without an appointment? 

Yes! We are open daily, Monday – Saturday between 9am – 5pm.  We have an amazing space filled with not only window covering displays but also furniture and unique decor. 

You will be able to see the complete range of products we carry, try raising and lowering blinds with a variety of lift systems, and you may even start making fabric selections from our sample books before you leave! We always will have someone in the showroom who is able to help answer general questions.  If you want to guarantee one on one time with a designer to get some advice or get a quote, we suggest you call ahead and book an “instore appointment” as our designers are often out on calls helping other clients, bring their window covering projects to reality! 

3. Do you service areas outside of Winnipeg? 

Yes! Even if you’re not living in Winnipeg, we’ve still got you covered. We serve many communities throughout Manitoba and cottage country in Western Ontario.   

4. Are all your blinds and shades custom-made?  What does that mean? 

We prioritize custom-made blinds and shades due to the advantages they offer over ready-made options, including a perfect fit, enhanced design flexibility, and superior quality. While ready-made blinds are readily available, custom solutions cater to diverse window sizes and shapes, ensuring a seamless look and optimal functionality.  

5. Where are the blinds made, and do they come with a warranty? 

All of our products are made in North America. We only deal with reputable manufacturers who provide a “limited lifetime warranty” on all products. Most motors carry a five-year warranty. 

6. Can I provide my own measurements? 

We appreciate it when you bring in the measurements of your windows during your visit to the showroom.  This allows us to create a cost estimate for you based on the window covering products you are interested in.   However, we will arrange to go to your home to confirm any measurements before an order is placed. 

7. Do I have to get my blinds installed by Superblinds when I make my purchase? 

We try and make it a practice to install every window covering we sell; this ensures that the warranty the manufacturer provides will not be voided.  Having the blinds, shades or drapery installed by one of your experienced installers also comes with our own in-house 1-year service warranty.  This added protection means that if anything goes wrong with your blind in the first year after installation, we will come out free of charge to address the issue and make sure your window covering is working properly. 

8. How long will it take before my blinds to be ready to be installed after I make my purchase? 

In general, you can expect 4-6 weeks between the time of order to the time of installation.  Custom drapery orders may take anywhere from 6-8 weeks.   

9. When do I have to pay for my window coverings and what payment options do you take? 

A 75% deposit is taken at the time of ordering.  The remaining balance will be taken on the day you get a call to arrange the installation date after we receive your blinds from the manufacturer.  We accept cash, cheque, debit, e-transfer, Visa and Mastercard. 

10. Will I get a lower price if I shop around? 

The simple answer to this question is possibly, but the lowest price does not mean you are getting the best value for your money.  We prioritize quality and expertise over simply offering the lowest price.  Our goal is to deliver a positive customer experience and a long-lasting product for you to enjoy for many years in your home. 

If you’re looking for the absolute lowest price, you might want to compare quotes from different retailers, but Superblinds focuses on providing a comprehensive service that includes expert advice, professional installation, and reliable support.
