Welcome to the Superblinds FAQ page, where answers to the most common questions about our products, services, and purchase experience are provided to help make your window covering decisions simple and informed.


1. Can I request a designer to come to my home?

After an introductory phone call to get to know you and your specific window covering needs, a convenient time and date will be arranged for your in-home visit. Your designer will meet with you to review your space, answer questions, and help get your project started with confidence.


2. Do you service areas outside of Winnipeg?

We primarily serve Winnipeg and the surrounding areas. If you’re outside these regions, please reach out—we’ll do our best to accommodate your location.


3. Are all your drapery, blinds and shades custom-made? What does that mean?

Yes! All of our drapery, blinds, and shades are custom-made to fit your windows perfectly. Custom options not only enhance style and functionality but also ensure long-lasting performance you can rely on.


4. Where are the blinds made, and do they come with a warranty?

All of our products are proudly made in North America. We work exclusively with trusted manufacturers who provide a limited lifetime warranty on all products, and most motors come with a five-year warranty—giving you peace of mind that your window coverings are built to last. 


5. What warranties or guarantees do you provide?

At Superblinds, our care doesn’t stop after installation. If your blinds or shades need service or adjustments within the first year, our warranty includes a return visit to make it right. As your local team, we stand behind our work—so you can feel confident knowing there’s always someone nearby ready to help.


6. Can I provide my own measurements?

We appreciate it when you bring in the measurements of your windows during your visit to the showroom.  This allows us to create a cost estimate for you based on the window covering products you are interested in.   However, we will arrange to go to your home to confirm any measurements before an order is placed.


7. Do you install the blinds and shades I purchase from Superblinds?

Absolutely! Every window covering we sell is installed by our team, ensuring a perfect fit and protecting the manufacturer’s warranty. This way, you can enjoy your blinds or shades with confidence and peace of mind.


8. When do I have to pay for my window coverings, and what payment options are available?

A deposit is collected when you place your order. The remaining balance is due when we call to schedule your installation after your blinds arrive from the manufacturer. For your convenience, we accept cash, cheque, debit, e-transfer, Visa, Mastercard, and American Express.


9. Will I get a lower price if I shop around?

Our pricing reflects the quality, customization, and service we provide. We recommend contacting us to discuss your needs and any current promotions.


10. Can I see samples before I buy?

Yes! Our showroom at 1151 Pembina Hwy features a wide selection of custom drapery, as well as blinds and shades from premium brands like Lutron, Hunter Douglas, Graber, and Alta. You can see the fabrics, colors, textures, and operation of our window coverings in person before making your final decision.


11. How long will my custom blinds or shades take to arrive?

Delivery times vary by product and customization. Your design consultant will provide an estimated timeline during your consultation. In general, you can expect 4-6 weeks between the time of order to the time of installation.  Custom drapery orders may take anywhere from 6-8 weeks.
